A total of 18 students from Watkinson School, including six from West Hartford, have been named Honor Athletes.

Watkinson School recognizes and celebrates 18 students who are the school’s Honor Athletes for fall 2016. Six of the designees are from West Hartford, including (left to right in photo above) Sam Volpe, Michaela Boyle, Clare Crosson, Natty Pinkes, Sophie Brown, and Bonnie Wilder.

This distinction is given to students who earned a Varsity letter and also maintained High Honors for the fall season. Watkinson competes in the Housatonic Valley Athletic League and is a member of the New England Prep School Athletic Council. The school fields 12 high school interscholastic teams annually.

Watkinson School, a co-educational day school for grades 6-PG, was founded in 1881 and is Hartford’s oldest independent school. Watkinson’s next open house for prospective students is Jan. 20 at 9 a.m.
