The Webster Hill PTO is once again hosting a Thanksgiving morning ‘Turkey Trot’ in the school’s West Hartford neighborhood.

The Webster Hill Elementary School PTO is excited to announce the 5th annual Turkey Trot 5K, set for Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 27, 2025, beginning at 8 a.m. at Webster Hill School. This beloved community event brings together people of all ages to promote fitness, celebrate community spirit, and enjoy a memorable morning of running, fundraising, and family-friendly activities – all in support of a great cause.

The Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk is more than just a race – it’s an opportunity to make a meaningful difference. By joining in, participants and sponsors alike can help create a lasting positive impact for Webster Hill Elementary students. Every step taken and every dollar raised goes directly to benefit our school community, making your involvement both impactful and rewarding.

Participants will enjoy a scenic course winding through the beautiful Webster Hill neighborhoods. Runners and walkers of all ages and abilities are welcome – whether you’re a competitive athlete or simply want to support a wonderful cause. Each registrant will receive a pair of exclusive Turkey Trot-themed touch-screen gloves.

“We are thrilled to organize the Webster Hill Turkey Trot 5K again this year,” said Gary Lafferty, Race Coordinator and PTO Co-President. “This event reflects our ongoing dedication to supporting Webster Hill School and making a positive impact in our community. We welcome everyone to join us for a festive day of fitness, family fun, and giving back.”

Entry fees are $15 for children ages 5-13, and $25 for ages 14 and up. Children 4 and under participate for free.

Sponsoring the Turkey Trot provides local businesses and organizations with an opportunity to demonstrate their commitment to the community and philanthropy. Multiple sponsorship levels are available, with partners receiving valuable recognition before, during, and after the event.
