West Hartford Announces Schedule Changes for Good Friday and Easter

Good Friday is April 3 and Easter is April 5, 2026.

Most of West Hartford’s municipal facilities, including Town Hall, libraries, the community center, senior centers, and the recycling center, are closed on Friday, April 3, in observance of Good Friday.

Trash collection will remain on schedule with no delay.

An annual permit is required to dispose of items at the Recycling Center. Permitted residents have unlimited access to the Yard Waste and Recycling Center at no additional charge for recycling items such as mattresses/box springs, e-waste, textiles, yard waste, aggregate waste, single-stream recycling, paint, books, cardboard, and metals.

The public libraries are open on Saturday, April 4, but will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Sunday.

Cornerstone Aquatics Center is open on Friday, April 3. The facility will be closed on Easter Sunday, April 5. View the pool schedule or call the front desk at 860-561-8270 to find the best time for your visit.

Westmoor Park farm hours are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, and park trails and grounds hours are open 8 a.m. to dusk.

The Veterans Memorial Skating Rink is closed until Aug. 1, 2026, for renovations.
