West Hartford Chamber of Commerce Seeks Noah Webster Award Nominees

Nominations for the 29th Annual Noah Webster Award are now being accepted at the West Hartford Chamber of Commerce. Established by the Chamber in 1989, this award honors extraordinary commitment to the West Hartford community.
Last year the Noah Webster Award was presented to former Mayor Scott Slifka at the Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Meeting held June 20 at the Pond House. He was nominated by former Chamber of Commerce Marketing Committee Chair for his leadership of the Town Council and for making “so many of the ‘if only’s’ became reality, Looby said at the ceremony.
The Noah Webster Awards are presented in recognition of extraordinary commitment to the West Hartford community in ways beyond the day- to-day requirements of one’s professional duties. The awards recognize:
- Dedication
- Special Concern
- Beautification
- Years of Service
- Innovation
- High Standards
- Community Involvement
- Financial Support
- Professionalism
- Vision
Eligibility includes all person(s) who live and/or work in West Hartford; and all West Hartford businesses, associations, groups and/or programs. Nomination forms are available on the Chamber website and at the West Hartford Chamber of Commerce office. A copy is also attached below as a PDF.
All completed forms must include a brief (300 word max) description of the candidate’s qualifications and three references. All applications must be received at the Chamber office by Friday, May 13, 2016, using:

The 2017 recipients of the Noah Webster Awards will be honored at the Chamber’s Annual Meeting on Monday, June 19, 2017.
