West Hartford and Farmington Police To Team Up for Toy Drive

‘Santa Cop’ from the West Hartford and Farmington police departments will be collecting toys in the collaborative event outside Toy ‘R Us in Corbin’s Corner on Friday.

On Friday, Dec. 15, the Farmington and West Hartford Police Departments will join forces with Farmington Community Services to bring holiday joy to local residents in need.

The annual collaborative toy drive will take place at Toys ‘R’ Us in West Hartford from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Santa Claus will be on scene greeting children and shoppers with his helper, Officer Blue Santa, by his side. Together they help spread the spirit of the holidays and promote positive relationships with law enforcement.

All toys and gifts collected will benefit children and families in Farmington, Unionville and West Hartford. Stop by Toys ‘R’ Us to join West Hartford Police Department, Farmington Police Department, and Farmington Community Services in serving our neighbors in need this holiday season.

Requested donations include: winter hats and gloves, baby dolls, books, puzzles, Legos, science sets, craft kits, sports items, diapers, wipes, car seats, pretend play items, board games, video games, RC cars, Nerf items, art sets/supplies, and gift cards for older kids.
