The West Hartford Food Pantry has a critical need for certain items.

By Ronni Newton

West Hartford Food Pantry coordinator Nancy Stockman has put out an urgent plea for certain items that are in very short supply.

The community has been asked to consider picking up the following items for donation to help restock the Food Pantry:

  • Baked beans
  • Canned fruit and applesauce
  • Pasta and sauce
  • Cold cereal
  • Canned chicken and tuna
  • Rice (1 lb. packages)
  • Peanut butter (16-oz. and 18-oz. jars)
  • Soup
  • Macaroni and cheese

The Food Pantry cannot accepted opened or expired items, and regular – not extra large size – packages are recommended.

Donations can be left on the carts in the Town Hall lobby, which is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p..m.

If you have any questions, or need assistance bringing in your donation, please contact Nancy Stockman at 860-561-7569 or [email protected].
