The West Hartford Food Pantry has a critical need for certain items.

West Hartford Food Pantry coordinator Nancy Stockman has put out an urgent plea for certain items that are in very short supply.

They are almost out of canned soup, Stockman said, and other items that are needed include cold cereal, canned fruit, applesauce, tuna, and canned pasta (such as Spaghettios).

Mayor Shari Cantor said she dropped off a carload of nonperishables on Wednesday, and said the inventory was really low.

Carts are located in front of the main entrance to Town Hall where donations can be dropped off on the following dates/times:

  • Tuesday 3:30-5:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday 9-11 a.m.
  • Friday 10 a.m.-noon

Open packages and/or expired items cannot be accepted, Stockman said.

If you have any questions, please contact Nancy Stockman at 860-561-7569 or [email protected].
