West Hartford High School Sports Round-Up
Audio By Carbonatix
Scores from Conard and Hall high school varsity competition, Oct. 7 – Oct. 13, 2020.
By Ronni Newton
The second week of fall sports included the first swimming and diving meets and the first dual cross country meets – and both were Conard vs. Hall contests, and lived up to the spirit of great crosstown rivalry.
In both boys and girls cross country, the top finisher was from Conard (Cloe Scrimgeour for the girls, and Gavin Sherry for the boys), but Hall won the overall meet.
Many thanks to Craig Rosenberg for supplying the cross country photos. Additional photos can be found below.
The Conard vs. Hall field hockey game, rescheduled from Oct. 1, was played Oct. 13 at Conard, with Hall winning 5-1. Nine seniors from Conard and nine seniors from Hall, as well as one Conard junior who is graduating early were celebrated before the game, Conard coach Carlie Dailey said.
Many thanks to Holly D’Addario for the field hockey photos. Additional photos can be found below.
We will only be able to attend a small number of games this season, but would love to share the information and special moments with the community.
