Volunteers at West Hartford Libraries will deliver library materials – including books, movies, music, and more – free of charge to West Hartford residents who are temporarily or permanently confined to home because of illness, disability, or advanced age.

To register for the program, call 860-561-5951. Volunteers will answer the phone on Tuesdays between 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., but you can call any day and leave a message and they will get back to you.

To sign up, volunteers will need to know your name, address, phone number, and special reading needs and interests. They can recommend books and movies for you or you can request specific materials. Have your library card ready so you can read the numbers on the back. If you do not have a card or yours has expired, the volunteer can arrange to have a new one made for you.
