A video of a fight that took place at the Chipotle at 1457 New Britain Avenue in Corbin’s Corner on Dec. 13 went viral on social media and made national news, and West Hartford Police said Friday that two individuals have now been arrested in connection with the incident.

Capt. Aaron Vafiades said police were called to the scene after a male and female customer “both went behind the counter and assaulted two employees after a verbal argument about an order.” The video, recorded by another customer, shows the two suspects squabbling with employees and the incident escalating.

The suspects had left the scene by the time police arrived, but police successfully obtained a warrant for both after they were identified through the investigation. The warrant was granted on Jan. 5, 2026, Vafiades said, and both suspects were arrested on Jan. 8.

Imani Joseph, 26, of Ansonia, CT, and Chad McKoy, 26, of Waterbury, CT, both have been charged with third-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace.

Joseph and McKoy were both released after posting $10,000 surety bond and are due in Hartford Community Court on Jan. 14, Vafiades said.
