A 31-year-old Farmington man, who is already listed on the Connecticut Sex Offender Registry and was out on bond after two separate probation violations, is back in custody with bond set at $750,000 after being arrested by West Hartford Police twice last week.

Police initially responded to multiple complaints about a male “acting suspiciously” at the MDC Reservoir at 1420 Farmington Avenue on Wednesday, Oct. 9, Capt. Peter Juda said in an email. The male suspect was reportedly “fondling himself” as he approached two different females walking in the reservoir.

Police were able to determine the identity of the suspect and obtained a warrant for Wojciech Warzynski, 31, of Farmington. He was arrested the next day and charged with one count of breach of peace, but was released after posting the $20,000 surety bond set by Hartford Superior Court.

Warzynski was already out on bond for violating probation relating to two separate prior incidents, police said. He has previously been charged with exposing himself and according to online court records had also served a five-year jail sentence in connection with a 2018 incident involving the attempt to have illegal sexual contact with a victim.

The day after his arrest in West Hartford related to the incident at the reservoir, Warzynski was arrested again.

West Hartford Police received several complaints “regarding a male fondling himself and possibly masturbating in the bushes on a cul-de-sac” on Friday, Oct. 11, Juda’s email states. Officers who responded recognized Warzynski as the same person who had been arrested the previous day in connection with the incident in the reservoir.

He was arrested at the scene on Friday, and faces charges of second-degree breach of peace, simple trespass, and second-degree violation of conditions of release.

Warzynski is currently being held on $750,000 bond in connection with the Oct. 11 incident.

Warzynski belongs in a treatment facility, not in jail.
