West Hartford Police Investigating Armed Robbery, Take Suspect into Custody

West Hartford Police said a firearm was recovered.

An incident involving an armed robbery on New Park Avenue near Flatbush Avenue is under investigation Tuesday afternoon, but according to a preliminary information it appears to be an isolated incident and there does not appear to be any danger to the public, West Hartford Police Capt. Daniel Moffo told We-Ha.com Tuesday afternoon.
Moffo said one suspect has been taken into custody, with a firearm recovered.

Police had posted about the incident on X, formerly known as Twitter, just before 4 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.
The exact location of the incident was not provided, and Moffo said further details will be forthcoming as the active investigation continues.
