An anonymous threat regarding Westfarms was investigated by West Hartford Police early Tuesday evening.

West Hartford Police responded in force to Westfarms on Tuesday evening following the receipt of an anonymous threat by the Emergency Reporting Center at approximately 5:07 p.m.

“The caller indicated they were going to the mall to target an alleged employee,” Capt. Aaron Vafiades said in an email. “Officers responded to the mall to investigate the incident. No victims or evidence of a disturbance were located,” he said.

No further information about the nature of the threat was provided by police.

Westfarms, located at 1500 New Britain Avenue, spans the West Hartford and Farmington town lines.
