West Hartford Police Searching for Burglary Suspect in Mountain Road Area

The West Hartford Police Department said Monday that multiple units have been deployed searching for a burglary suspect.

A large police presence in the neighborhood west of Mountain Road on Monday evening is related to an active search for a burglary suspect.
Residents of the area reported seeing multiple police cars on Mountain Road, Orchard Road, and Westmont Street, as well in the area of Hunter Drive and Canal Road. A message shared through the Ring neighborhood network also said a search was taking place in the woods.
Police told We-Ha.com around 8:30 p.m. that a very active investigation is underway in the area, and no details are available at this time. Anyone who sees something suspicious should contact police at 860-523-5203.
While there is no description of a suspect, police did alert the pubic via Twitter just before 8:30 p.m. of a search for a burglary suspect underway in the area of Balfour Drive.
WHPD units are in the area of Balfour Rd searching for a burglary suspect. There is no physical or clothing description available, but we ask that anyone in the area contact WHPD if they see or hear anything suspicious.
