West Hartford’s award-winning public golf course has been vandalized, and damage has been extensive, police said.
Police have increased patrols and are continuing to investigate damage to Rockledge Golf Course that has been occurring during the month of May, but vandals have struck again.
“Unfortunately there was another incident that occurred during the overnight on Sunday,” Sgt. Amanda Martin told We-Ha.com. “The damage was consistent with the prior incident with damages to the putting green.”
In a Facebook post last Friday, West Hartford Police said damage has been done to various areas of the Rockledge Golf Course during the month of May. The post included photos from an incident that took place overnight Thursday, with damage estimated at more than $25,000.
Incidents have been taking place during the evening and overnight hours, police said.
Police ask that the public spread the word to be on alert for suspicious activity in the area of the golf course, and contact police if anything is observed either at 860-523-5203 or via the anonymous tip line (860-570-8969) or email [email protected].
