West Hartford Police Welcome New Officer

Off. Angelina Piuccirillo was sworn as a member of the West Hartford Police Department on April 16.

In a ceremony that was attended in-person by several members of the department and virtually by many family members and friends, Off. Angelina Piccirillo was sworn in by Chief Vernon Riddick as the newest officer of the West Hartford Police Department on Thursday, April 16.
Piccirillo is a graduate of Albertus Magnus College in New Haven (magna cum laude) where she was a scholar-athlete and earned a degree in criminal justice in 2018. She continued her education at Albertus Magnus, earning an MBA in 2019.
Law enforcement is part of Piccirillo’s family heritage. Her brother who is a Connecticut State Trooper (Troop I in Bethany) and her father is a retired Connecticut State Trooper.
Piccirillo is a 2014 graduate of Naugatuck High School.
She will attend the police academy in New Britain.
