The West Hartford Police Department will hold a “stuff-a-cruiser” event to coincide with the Holiday Stroll, and will welcome donations that will be given as holiday gifts to West Hartford children.

Officers will be located in front of the Toy Chest, 975 Farmington Ave., from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 5.

Any new unwrapped toys, gift cards, books, age-appropriate movies and games, and children’s clothing (infant to adolescent sizes), as well as financial donations.

Donors are asked to avoid donating items with safety hazards like sharp edges and easily breakable parts, as well as toy weapons of any kind.
