Back by popular demand, husband and wife team, Kate and Ray Hardman, are joining the WHSO for its 13th Holiday Concert.

Kate, an area operatic soprano, and Ray, reporter and local host for NPR affiliate WNPR, will perform both individual solos and several duets together. The solo pieces are “O Holy Night” and “White Christmas,” and the duets are “Gesu Bambino,” “Winter Wonderland of Snow,” and the premiere of a new holiday piece titled “Through the Many Christmases.”

The orchestra will perform seasonal favorites such as Anderson’s “Sleigh Ride,” Mannheim Steamroller’s “Stille Nacht,” “Polonaise” from “Christmas Eve Suite” by Rimsky-Korsakoff, “Waltz of the Flowers” from “The Nutcracker,” and many more holiday selections.

The concert is at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 14, at West Hartford’s Town Hall Auditorium. Fleming’s Steak House is providing refreshments for the event.

Tickets can be purchased by calling the symphony office at 860-521-4362, and online at whso.org. Tickets will also be sold at the door, which opens at 2:15 p.m.
