Lian Wolman, who will be a freshman at West Hartford’s Kingswood Oxford School this fall, will rappel down the side of the hotel on Wednesday.

Lian Wolman of West Hartford, a rising freshman at Kingswood Oxford, will rappel down 22 stories of the Hartford Hilton on Wed., July 29, as part of the Shatterproof Challenge, a nationwide fundraiser meant to raise awareness and fight the stigma surrounding addiction, especially among teenagers.

She is one of 90 people who have signed on to the challenge, which requires participants to contribute or collect pledges of at least $1,000 for the cause. It is the second year in a row that she’s participating in this special event.
