The West Hartford Women’s Chorale will open its 21st season with two Open Rehearsals on Sept. 10 and Sept.17 at Temple Sinai, 41 West Hartford Road, Newington. Rehearsals start at 7 and end at 8:45 p.m. Open Rehearsals offer an opportunity for new and returning singers to learn about the WHWC without obligation to join.

The West Harford Women’s Chorale, a non-auditioned group, welcomes all singers regardless of musical background. For more experienced singers, there is also an opportunity to sing with a select auditioned group, Camerata. The Chorale performance season includes two formal concerts and a variety of community performances.

This fall, the WHWC will introduce their new music director, Susan Chrzanowski. Sue has been an arts administrator, music educator, conductor, and vocal specialist for over 30 years with vocalists and instrumentalists of all ages. She is the current head of Performing Arts at The Loomis Chaffee School.

If you have wanted to sing in a choral group, this could be your year! For more information about the WHWC, go to www.whwchorale.org .
