Join the West Hartford Women’s Chorale as it returns to in person singing with “JOY,” a Winter Concert on Dec. 10 at 7:30 p.m. The performance will take place at St. James’s Episcopal Church, 1018 Farmington Ave., West Hartford. Admission fee is $15.

The Chorale will perform Haydn’s Dixit Dominus, three pieces by contemporary composer, Sarah Quartel, and several holiday pieces expressing joy through music. The concert will follow covid protocol with proof of vaccination and personal ID required. Seating will be socially distanced, and the chorale will sing with masks. Tickets can be purchased at the door.

Robin Doyle, current board president remarked, “This summer after running two virtual semesters and several community projects last year, we made the decision to return in person as a fully vaccinated chorale. Our upcoming season includes a collaboration with the West Hartford Symphony Orchestra in April and a Spring Concert, ‘Night at the Theater,’ in June 2022.”

The WHWC is a non-audition community chorale for women. Since its inception in 2004, the chorale has maintained its core tenant to invite all women to perform high quality chorale music. In addition, the Chorale supports an annual student scholarship offered to aspiring student musicians going on to pursue music.
