The search is on for Greater West Hartford’s most beloved canine companions! WeHa’s Top Dog 2025 contest officially kicks off on Tuesday (which happens to be National Dog Day), inviting dog owners to show off their furry friends in a friendly competition for the title of WeHa’s Top Dog.

From now until Sept. 9, proud pet parents can submit a photo of their dog to compete in one or more of the contest’s eight categories: Best Costume, Big and Bold, Cutest, Floppiest Ears, Fluffiest, Funniest Looking, Looks Most Like Its Owner, and Small & Sassy. This is the chance for every pup, from the scruffy to the polished, to shine.

After the submission period closes, the real fun begins. Starting on Sept. 10, the public will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite contestants. Dog owners are encouraged to share the voting link with friends, family, and followers to rally support and help their pup secure a top spot. The voting period is a chance for the community to celebrate and acknowledge the dogs that bring so much joy to their lives.

Voting will remain open until Sept. 27, when the winners of each category will be crowned. Will your dog be named one of Greater WeHa’s Top Dogs?

“We’re so excited to launch this year’s contest and see all the amazing dogs in our community,” said Tom Hickey, president of 2020 Media. “This is more than just a contest; it’s a celebration of the incredible bond between people and their pets.”

To enter your dog visit the website.

Each entry is $10, and voting is free. When it’s time to vote … vote again and again … And again!

Greater WeHa’s Top Dog 2025 is presented by Jeff Hodges Landscaping, and produced by 2020 Media, the Jewish Ledger, we-ha.com and West Hartford Magazine.
