Westminster Presbyterian Church will host the second annual “Raking in the Fun” Live Music Fall Festival on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2023, from 1-5 p.m. at Westminster. This free event is open to the public.
“Raking in the Fun” will feature live music from Down to Funk, one of New England’s premiere cover bands playing your favorite hits from the 70s to today. The fall festival will also include vendors and food trucks, such as Gramma Lils, Brazilian Gula Grill, and others. Come enjoy fun and games for the whole family on a beautiful fall afternoon with music and food bringing us together.

Two members of Down to Funk are part of Westminster’s music scholar program. Music has had a longstanding formative role in community life at Westminster. For over 30 years Westminster has engaged and supported music scholars from local university programs to be part of Westminster’s music ministry. “In 2022 we hosted our first Raking in the Fun fall festival to share the talents of Westminster’s current music scholars and several other local musicians,” said Callie Boone, Minister of Music. “Our intent was to create a family friendly community event around music and fellowship and help support the sustainability of our music scholar program. The initial festival was a wonderful success and we’re excited to welcome back Down to Funk for a fun afternoon of music while adding additional vendors, games, and food trucks to our event.”
A bake sale, 50/50 raffle, and freewill offering will benefit the Westminster Music Scholar Fund.
