For more than 30 years, parents of Conard High School seniors have joined many others around the country in organizing all-night, substance-free “Safe Grad” celebrations. Conard’s Safe Grad event is an elaborate affair that includes dancing, games, inflatables, a hypnotist, arts & crafts and lots of food as well as raffles for highly-valued prizes and much more.
Safe Grad, which is open to all Conard 2017 graduates free of charge, is a completely donor-supported evening. To kick-off fundraising efforts for 2017 Safe Grad, this year’s Committee is hosting a Parents’ Night Out– another long-time tradition – on Saturday, Feb. 11 from 7 to 11 p.m. in the West Hartford Town Hall Auditorium.
Attendees can expect light-fare dinner and two-bite desserts from local restaurants including Blue Plate Kitchen, Corner Pug, Wings Over West Hartford, A Little Something Bakery, Sweet Caroline’s and so much more. There will also be a number of raffles and an auction.
Just a few of the items up for grabs include front row seats and prime parking for graduation, gift certificates for fitness classes, massage and cultural events, as well as a NYC Apartment for a weekend and a Mt. Snow condo that sleeps 10, among others.
The night will be complete with dancing to James & the Untold Riches. Feel free to BYOB, but know that coffee, tea and other non-alcoholic beverages will be provided.
Best of all, Parents’ Night Out isn’t just for parents and guardians of Conard seniors. Parents of Conard students in other grades and parents of alumni as well as others in the community are welcome to join in the fun and help make Safe Grad 2017 a spectacular event.
Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. Proceeds will go toward funding the 2017 Safe Grad Party.

Tickets ordered by check will be at the door the night of the event.
