Hope is Alive this Easter! 180 Life Church (formerly named Calvary Fellowship) in West Hartford is gearing up for its largest egg hunt in three years! The church will scatter 20,000 eggs on the field at Conard High School between two Sunday morning Easter services on April 9.
“Over the past few years we’ve had to be creative with our egg hunts because of the pandemic,” said Bill LaMorey, lead Pastor at 180 Life Church. “One year we created Easter baskets to-go, this year, we’re adding an additional 10,000 eggs to amount to 20,000 Easter egg hunts that children can hunt for.”
The day begins with two services, one at 9 a.m., and the other 11 a.m.; following each service will be an Easter egg hunt (rain or shine!). Prior to the hunt children will decorate a complimentary bag in which they will use to collect their eggs.
“While the hunt brings excitement for the kids, what’s more exciting is the holiday itself. The Easter message is one of hope. We need hope in our lives. With all that’s happening in this world, the resurrection story gives us hope for the present and future,” said Pastor LaMorey.
180 Life Church meets Sundays at 10 a.m. at Conard High School, 110 Beechwood Road, West Hartford. The church features contemporary music and offers relevant biblical teaching and fun, engaging Bible classes for children. The church’s motto: “No Perfect People Allowed.”
To participate in the Easter egg hunt, registration is required. Registration takes place before each service that morning. For more information on the Easter service, egg hunt, or directions visit www.180lifechurch.org.
