The West Hartford community is invited to join the fun and support Conard Safe Grad. Tickets available for comedy night!

It’s that time of year again! The wheels are in motion to create an amazing Safe Grad night for the 2026 Conard High School seniors. For those of you who are new to Safe Grad, it’s an over 40 year tradition! It’s an all-night, alcohol-free party on graduation night held within the safety of the school.

This free event for all Conard seniors features entertainment, food, games, and prizes. Parties like this reduce graduation night traffic and the number of alcohol-related tragedies. But pulling this off is no easy task. There are several upcoming fundraisers, not to mention ways to donate.

Coming up on Thursday evening, March 5, is a comedy night at New Park Brewing. This event is not just for families with graduating students, it’s for anyone who wants to enjoy some laughs and a fun night out! There will be several different comedians performing. Again, it’s Thursday, March 5th from 6-9 p.m. and tickets can be bought ahead of time through this link. Tickets are $35, and that includes one drink ticket.

Next, save the date for Parent’s Night Out at Rockledge Grille on April 30. There will be a DJ, Live Auction, and Wine Pull. To make this night a success, the Safe Grad committee is looking for donations for both the live and silent auctions, so please reach out to them if you’d like to participate at conardhssafegrad@gmail.com.

Gifts or Gift Cards for the auctions during Parent’s Night Out are due by April 18. Pick-ups can be arranged.

Other ways to support this special night include simply donating money toward the cause, no amount is too little. Own a restaurant or bakery? Consider donating food for the night. The party is all night long, into the morning so breakfast, lunch and dinner items are all welcome.
