While our campaign did not end with a win, what an extraordinary and exhilarating experience this has been! I am blessed to have made many friends and have learned so much about the issues that mean the most to the voters in our 20th district. My congratulations to Kate Farrar. I know you will fight the good fight for us at the General Assembly!
I want to thank my friends and supporters for their guidance and support. We ran an honest, open, and truly a grass roots campaign. We involved hundreds of people who had not been involved in our political process before and in the weeks and months ahead, I hope we can continue our dialogue.
To my extraordinary campaign team, no words to express what your encouragement has meant and means to me. To all of my delegates and supporters throughout our district and beyond and my dear friends in our Buena Vista community, thank you so much for your votes of confidence.
While I will not be representing our district at the General Assembly, I pledge to continue to work hard in our community, most particularly expanding supports and opportunities for our young people. My statewide justice reform work at The Justice Education Center will, of course, continue with the addition of having a sharper eye on exploring avenues that can contribute to the quality of life in West Hartford.
Wishing everyone health and safety in the days to come.
With immense gratitude, I am
Sincerely yours,
Sherry Haller
