Amelia Classical Music Series Presents Internationally Acclaimed Violinist Philippe Quint in West Hartford

The Amelia Classical Music Series is proud to present Philippe Quint, violin, with Jun Cho, piano, in concert on Saturday, Sept. 13, at 6 p.m. at Flagg Road United Church of Christ in West Hartford.
Heralded by BBC Music Magazine as “truly phenomenal” and praised by the Chicago Tribune as “a violinist of silken tone, technical wizardry, and compelling artistry,” Philippe Quint has performed with some of the world’s most prestigious orchestras, including the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the London Philharmonic Orchestra. His artistry and charismatic stage presence have made him a favorite with audiences across the globe.
The program will feature:
- Beethoven’s beloved “Spring” Sonata
- Brahms’ Sonata No. 2 and his fiery Scherzo
- Debussy’s lush and impressionistic Violin Sonata
- A whimsical fantasy on Charlie Chaplin’s The Kid, arranged by Leon Gurvitch

Quint will be joined by pianist Jun Cho, an accomplished recitalist and chamber musician admired for his sensitivity and expressive depth. Together, they promise an unforgettable evening of music spanning classical masterworks and imaginative modern creations.
The concert will take place at Flagg Road United Church of Christ, 134 Flagg Rd., West Hartford, beginning at 6 p.m. It will run approximately 90 minutes with a short intermission.
The Amelia Classical Music Series, founded by soprano Zhanna Alkhazova, brings world-class artists to Central Connecticut, offering intimate and inspiring performances that connect audiences with extraordinary musicians.
