Hartford Catholic Worker

This concert fundraiser is being put on the Saint Peter Claver Knights of Columbus for the benefit of Hartford Catholic Worker (HCW). They are a lay community of Catholics and like-minded friends, living in the north end of Hartford, working, and praying for an end to violence and poverty. They are a tax exempt organization and do not seek or accept state or federal funding. Their ability to house the homeless, feed the hungry, and work with the children depends on contributions from you.

The proceeds from this concert will be used in many ways, which may include:

  • Providing healthy snacks to school children from the neighborhood during “Homework sessions” at HCW.
  • Enable children to attend HCW’s summer camp program in Voluntown, CT (for most children it is their first time outside Hartford).
  • Providing a safe place for youngsters to play outdoor sports & activities, mentored by young adults.
  • Offering a safe space at HCW during family turmoil.
  • Replacing their vehicle (used to transport children to summer camp).
