Calling all Girl Scouts and troop leaders! This spring, Ballet Theatre Company (BTC) is premiering its mainstage ballet “Aladdin” at The Bushnell’s Maxwell M. and Ruth R. Belding Theater.
To complement the ballet, BTC has developed an “Aladdin” workshop specifically for Girl Scout troops on April 3 from 4:30-6 p.m. at BTC’s state-of-the-art studios in West Hartford. In addition, BTC offers a special discount rate for Girl Scouts groups to attend the production. Share the magic of “Aladdin” with your Girl Scout this spring.
In the “Aladdin” Girl Scout Workshop, Daisies, Brownies, Juniors, or Cadettes will explore ballet basics, dance history, learn choreography from “Aladdin,” watch live performance excerpts, interact with BTC’s dancers, and see the hand-made, stunning costumes that will be worn in “Aladdin” ! Your Girl Scout will love this interactive experience that will get them moving and thinking creatively. Reserve your spot now! At just $10 per Girl Scout, spots are filling up quickly.
After attending the “Aladdin” Girl Scout Workshop, Girl Scouts will definitely want to see the full production on stage with its dazzling costumes, backdrops and props! BTC is offering a discounted ticket rate at $30 for Girl Scout groups of 10 or more to come see “Aladdin” on April 24 at 3 p.m. Gather together your fellow Girl Scouts and get ready for a weekend full of dancing, magic, and fun. Troop leaders can call 860-987-5959 to reserve tickets.
Ballet performances are always a memorable experience for children, and exploration of the performing arts is a great way to encourage youth to get creative and express themselves through different mediums! To reserve your spot for the workshop and learn more information about the program, head over to the BTC website. Any additional questions can be directed to BTC’s Outreach Administrator, Kyleigh Olivier at [email protected].
