Barstool Sports founder and owner Dave Portnoy was in West Hartford on Wednesday, sampling the pizza at Savoy Pizzeria & Craft Bar for his ‘One Bite’ review series.

Dave Portnoy, the owner and founder of Barstool Sports, visited West Hartford on Wednesday afternoon – apparently for the first time – and sampled the pizza at Savoy for his “One Bite” video review series.
“It’s a half Neapolitan-half New York,” Portnoy said in his initial impression of the pizza – based on the size and crispiness – as he stood on the LaSalle Road sidewalk in front of the restaurant.
He liked the pizza, and he also seemed to like the town.
“Am I in West Hartford or am I in West Palm Beach?” he said, seemingly surprised at the vibe of the town and beautiful outdoor seating. “Maybe I’ve just been sleeping on West Hartford,” he added.
Come back, Mr. Portnoy, and bring your friends! We’ve got plenty of pizza to keep you busy for a while.
