Family, friends, and colleagues gathered at the Pond House in Elizabeth Park on June 6 to honor Deborah Zipkin for her 29 years of service at the Bridge Family Center. Throughout her distinguished career at the Bridge, Deborah has served as the Director of the Family Resource Center (FRC). She will retire from this position in July.
Under Deborah’s leadership, the FRC has grown and flourished with the addition of many new and innovative programs, activities, and support groups. She has fostered a culture of inclusion and positive regard for all, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for everyone associated with the Center. During Deborah’s tenure, the FRC has been recognized several times on a national level for its accomplishments and dedication to early childhood education.
“Deborah is truly a great leader. She leads by her wonderful example of dedication, commitment, energy and extensive knowledge,” said Executive Director Margaret Hann. “Deborah wraps all of these incredible attributes in a blanket of warmth, acceptance, humility and humor. It would be impossible to count the number of families she has supported and encouraged on their parenting journey, and we remain incredibly grateful for her 29 years of service.”
