In addition to the events, you can take action on your own:

  • Schedule a Home Energy SolutionsSM visit. Visit www.EnergizeCT.com/hes or call 877-WISE-USE (877-947-3873). The visit includes energy and equipment assessments plus on-the-spot improvements, such as air sealing, energy-saving light bulbs, and more for a co-pay of $99.
  • Install ENERGY STAR® certified LED light bulbs. Did you know? A 60-watt equivalent LED light bulb uses up to 80% less electricity and now costs only $3-4! If you use that light just 2 hours a day, it will pay for itself in 5 months through savings on your utility bill. For an instant discount, look for the Energize ConnecticutSM logo wherever you buy lighting.
  • Get a Solar Site Assessment. Visit SolarizeCT.com, GoSolarCT.com, or EnergizeCT.com to get started. The cost of solar has dropped dramatically, and most contractors will do a site assessment for free. Join us in making West Hartford a cleaner, greener community!

Energize Connecticut is an initiative of the Energy Efficiency Fund, the Connecticut Green Bank, the State of Connecticut, and your local electric and gas utilities with funding from a charge on customer energy bills.

Yikes – thanks Stephen! It’s a CFL that I had in my own personal supply. I’ve replaced the feature photo.
