Notice to Owners of Business Personal Property Located in the Town Of West Hartford.

Oct. 1 of each year is the assessment date in West Hartford. All business personal property must be declared to the Assessor, by the owner or his agent, on or before Nov. 3 to avoid a twenty-five percent assessment penalty imposed under Connecticut General Statutes.

Personal property consists of: unregistered motor vehicles, machinery & equipment, furniture, fixtures and equipment, technology equipment, farm machinery, farming tools, mechanics tools, electronic data processing equipment, telecommunication equipment, cables, conduits, pipes, expensed supplies and all other taxable goods.

DO NOT declare real estate or registered motor vehicles.
