West Hartford’s honors chamber orchestra, I Giovani Solisti, will hold its annual Chocolate Café on Feb. 27, 2016, in the Town Hall Auditorium. The annual performance features the most advanced high school string players from Hall and Conard high schools.

I Giovani Solisti, which was founded in 1983, holds the annual Chocolate Café as the both the group’s largest local performance event of the year and its major fundraiser. Proceeds from this year’s event will offset costs associated with the orchestra’s upcoming European performance tour to Portugal and Spain, and will also help provide educational opportunities and scholarships for students.

There are two performances of Chocolate Café on Feb. 27, and special guest artists this year include the West Hartford Inter-Elementary Orchestra (2 p.m. show), Bristow Bows (7 p.m. show), and Dale Stuckenbruck (violin/saw both shows).

There is also – of course – chocolate. Cake will be served, as well as coffee and tea, included with the price of admission.
