Chrysalis Center will be hosting its annual “Empty Bowls” event on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, from 5 to 7 p.m. on site at the TCC (Training & Conference Center), 255 Homestead Avenue in Hartford.

Empty Bowls is an international grassroots effort dedicated to combating food insecurity. Chrysalis Center is proud to bring this movement to the local community. The event serves as a powerful platform to raise awareness concerning the critical issue of hunger and food insecurity in our local communities.

Every guest will enjoy a bowl of gourmet soup, salad and homemade bread prepared by Chrysalis Center’s La Cocina Culinary Arts students and served by special guest servers. Guests will have the choice of an artisanal pottery bowl, created, and generously donated by local artisans. Each bowl is a symbol of solidarity in the fight against hunger and a reminder of all the empty bowls there are in the world.

This family friendly event is open to the public.

Tickets are $25.00 for those over 12 years old, $10 for children, and under the age of 3 are free. Advance registration is preferred, and tickets can be purchased online.

Additionally, Chrysalis Center is delighted to announce that a selection of artisanal pottery bowls for the Empty Bowls event will be generously donated by the West Hartford Art League. These beautifully crafted bowls add a special touch to the event and further emphasize the community spirit behind the fight against hunger.
