End the year with a really big story. The nativity story is often called the greatest story ever told. In West Hartford, First Church takes that literally.
The larger-than-life, handmade Colossal Puppets will be back at 12 South Main St., on loan from St. Michael’s Parish in Litchfield, CT, and are ready to help tell the nativity of Jesus during the Sunday morning worship service on Dec. 31, at 10 a.m.
“We love to tell the story – the old, old story – in new ways. The puppets help us do just that. Their timing is perfect too. They are scheduled to join us during the sacred space between Christmas and Epiphany,” explained Senior Pastor Fredd Ward. “The worship service will be a beautiful blending of big fun and faithfulness!”
The collection of giant puppets appearing at First Church includes angels, shepherds, sheep, kings (both good and bad), and the Holy family. Volunteers from the congregation will present the pageant-like-you’ve-never-
The public is welcome to celebrate the Christmas season at First Church by attending the Colossal Puppet pageant at 10 a.m. on Dec. 31 at 12 South Main Street, West Hartford.
