Conard boys hockey (12-7-0) moved into first place in the CCC South with a commanding 3-0 win over the Rocky Hill Terriers Co-op (15-3-1), powered by a complete team effort and a flawless night in net from Chase Emery.

The Red Wolves wasted no time setting the tone. Just 13 seconds into the opening period, Gavin Mangini struck off a setup from Dylan Smith, instantly energizing the bench and giving Conard a 1-0 edge before many fans had even settled into their seats.

Despite steady pressure throughout the first period and into the second, that lone goal stood for much of the game. Conard maintained possession, controlled the neutral zone, and relied on Emery’s steady presence between the pipes to keep the Terriers off the board. Emery finished with 23 saves, turning away every challenge to preserve the shutout.

The insurance marker finally came late in the second period. With 3:28 remaining, Torin McGoldrick capitalized on a power play opportunity, burying an unassisted goal to extend the lead to 2-0.

Clinging to that advantage deep into the third, Conard continued to play structured, disciplined hockey. Bradan Gainey provided the dagger, ripping home another unassisted goal to seal the 3-0 victory and secure sole possession of the top spot in the CCC South.
