West Hartford’s Conard High School girls swimming and diving team has continued their unbeaten streak from last year.

The Conard girls swim and dive team moved to 2-0 on the season with an 83-68 win Tuesday at Cornerstone Aquatics Center over the Meriden Co-op from Maloney and Platt.
The Conard team of Rosie Alonzo, Ella Hall, Claire Haverly, and Cecelia Peck got things started in the 200 medley relay. Meriden’s Addison Markoja won the 200 freestyle with Conard taking the 2-3-4 spots (Lyla Harhay, Ellie Harhay and Celia Filotto).
The 200 individual medley was a sweep for Conard with Gracie Lowney, Laura Haverly, and Kayla Lowney taking the top honors. The combination of Peck, Lucy Pincince, and Alonzo completed Conard’s second sweep of the day in the 50 free.
The diving was won by Meriden’s Kaylee Markoja. The score at this time saw Conard with a 43-25 lead.
In the 100 butterfly, G Lowney got her second win of the day with L Haverly and C Haverly taking third and fourth. In the 100 freestyle, Conard had its third sweep of the day as Alonzo, K Lowney, and Ciara Frewen finished ahead of the Meriden trio.
Meriden’s A Markoja raced to her second win of the day beating Conard’s Pincince, Filotto, and E Harhay. After the 200 freestyle relay team of G Lowney, Alonzo, L Haverly, and K Lowney took first place, the trio of L Harhay, Peck, and Emilie O’Sullivan grabbed Conard’s fourth sweep of the day in the backstroke.
Ella Hall, C Haverly and Lucy Archambault raced to a 1-2-4 finish in the breastroke before the 400 freestyle team of Filotto, Pincince, E Harhay, and L Harhay took the top spot to close out the meet.
The Red Wolves racked up 11 more state tournament autocuts. L Harhay (200 free, 100 back), G Lowney (200 IM, 100 butterfly), L Haverly (200 IM, 100 butterfly), K Lowney (200 IM), C Haverly (100 butterfly), Alonzo (100 free), Pincince (500 free), Filotto (500 free), E Harhay (500 free).
Conard will face Berlin on Thursday at home.
