Concerned Parents of Color Hosting Book Bag Giveaway in West Hartford

The third annual Concerned Parents of Color Book Bag Giveaway will be Sunday, Aug. 21, at Town Hall.

West Hartford Public Schools reopen for the new academic year on Aug. 31, and families in need of school supplies are welcome at the third annual Concerned Parents of Color book bag giveaway on Sunday, Aug. 31, at Town Hall, from 11 a.m. until  2 p.m.

Each book bag will include a notebook, two folders, a pack of crayons, and pencils. All students are welcome and book bags will be distributed while supplies last.

“Come out and grab a bag while supplies last,” said Adrienne Billings-Smith, founder and president of Concerned Parents of Color. “All students are welcome.”

Donations are also welcome, and anyone interested in donating can email [email protected]gmail.com, and can also Venmo: CPCWH and CashApp: CPCWH. For more information, email [email protected]gmail.com.
