Concorso Ferrari & Friends Brings High-Powered Italian Sports Cars to West Hartford
An incredible collection of automobiles paraded into West Hartford Center on Sunday in support of Connecticut Children’s Medical Center at the 18th Annual Concorso Ferrari & Friends.

The vehicles parked in the spaces along LaSalle Road in West Hartford Center on Sunday did not look like what your average Sunday brunch-goers would be driving.
Instead, several hundred high-powered Italian sports cars of a variety of makes and models occupied those spaces, and visitors flocked to the Center in order to get a peek at an amazing collection of vehicles.
Including among the vehicles participating in Concorso Ferrari & Friends were 140 “supercars” – Ferraris and Maseratis, organizer Summer Sivetz said – and included seven Pagani cars, which are worth upwards of $2 million each.
Horacio Pagani, who founded Pagani Automobili S.p.A. in 1992, came from Modena, Italy, to attend the event.
Before parking in the Center for viewing, many of the vehicles went on a mission to the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center facility in Farmington, where they picked up patients for a parade to West Hartford where all received VIP treatment.
Admission was free, but via the sale of Italian Ice, posters, t-shirts, and a variety of silent auction and raffle items, the 18th Annual Concorso Ferrari & Friends raised a significant sum for Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, and has raised well over $1 million since the event began 17 years ago. Sivetz estimated attendance at between 8,000 and 10,000 over the course of the day, and all were glad that rain held off until after the event had ended. The total figure has not yet been finalized, but she said fundraising topped $170,000.
