Remember the thrill of field day as a kid? The friendly competition, the outfits, the bragging rights that come with winning?
Well, it is time to relive it – grown-up style. Fleet Feet Hartford is teaming up with 2-4-1 Sports, Country 92.5FM, and Override North to host Adult Field Day on Saturday, Sept. 13 from 3-6 p.m. at Override North in Avon.
Participants will join one of four spirited teams: the Fleet Feet Golden Eagles, 2-4-1 Sports Olympic Otters, Override Neon Narwhals, and the Country 92.5 Silver Dragons, captained by Amanda Jo from the Morning Show – then go head-to-head in eight epic games, including Rad Ball, Cornhole, Musical Chairs, and even Rock-Paper-Scissors. Points, pride and plenty of laughs are on the line.
But this isn’t just about fun and games. All proceeds from the event will go directly to support 2-4-1 Sports’ free programs that empower kids in Hartford Public Schools to explore new sports, build confidence, and find joy on an off the field. By playing, you’re paying it forward.
“This is play with a purpose,” said Steve Boyle, director of 2-4-1 Sports. “We’ve been bringing creative, joyful play back to kids in Hartford and around the world, and now we’re excited to bring the same spirit to adults – all while raising money for programs like TOP Self in Hartford’s Public Schools.”
So grab your sneakers, rally your teammates and get ready to laugh, sweat and give back. This is field day—reimagined for adults.
The event will be held on Saturday, Sept. 13, from 3-6 p .m. at Override North, 50 Tower Lane, Avon. To register, click here.
