A night of dancing and compassion will take place at the 2026 Charity Fur Ball benefiting shelter animals on Friday, March 6.

Animal Rescue Foundation, Inc. (ARF) is delighted to announce its 3rd annual Charity Fur Ball, an evening dedicated to supporting homeless pets in need.

The event will take place on Friday, March 6, from 6:30-9 p.m. at the beautiful and new Fred Astaire Dance Studios Ballroom, located at 430 New Park Avenue, West Hartford, CT 06110.

This semi-formal event offers a unique and lively way to support ARF’s mission of rescuing and caring for abandoned, abused, and neglected animals. Attendees will enjoy an engaging lineup of activities, including a silent auction with enticing gift baskets, experiences and prizes, a wine pull fundraiser, music, and dancing. The evening will also feature a complimentary introductory group ballroom dance lesson, allowing guests to step onto the dance floor with confidence and flair.

“The Charity Fur Ball is an evening of joy, generosity, and community,” said Sarah Kelleher, Fundraising Event Coordinator for The Fur Ball at Animal Rescue Foundation, Inc. “Not only is it a wonderful opportunity for guests to enjoy music and dancing, but their participation directly benefits the animals in our care. As a volunteer-run rescue, every ticket purchase helps provide food, medical care, and shelter for cats and dogs in need.”

Event Schedule

• 6:30-7:15 p.m.: Complimentary Ballroom Dance Lesson – Get ready to glide across the floor with expert instruction from Fred Astaire’s professional dance instructors.
• 7:15-9 p.m.: General Dancing, Silent Auction, and Wine Pull Fundraiser – Enjoy an evening of socializing with hors d’oeuvres, desserts, wine, and non-alcoholic refreshments.

Ticket Information

Tickets are $35 per person or $60 per couple and must be purchased in advance. All proceeds go directly toward supporting ARF’s life-saving work.

In case of inclement weather, the Charity Fur Ball will be rescheduled to Friday, March 13, 2026.
