Thursday afternoon Hall girls soccer played an undefeated Glastonbury team and came away with the win (1-0).
The hard fought game was tied until the 71st minute when Hall’s Nicky Deslauriers was taken down in the box by a defender. Deslauriers was awarded a penalty kick and placed the ball in the upper right corner of the net out of the reach of the goalie, giving Hall a 1-0 lead.
Hall’s entire team played an impressive 80 minutes. Goalie, Allie Keith, was a major key to keeping Glastonbury scoreless. Hall’s defensive line had a great game handling the pressure of the last eight minutes to keep Hall’s lead. Glastonbury girls soccer, now 11-1-1 on the season, had only lost three times in regular season play since 2016. The Hall Warriors notched that up to four with their win last night.
With Thursday’s win, Hall moves to 6-3-4. Hall’s next game is on Tuesday night at 6 p.m. at Simsbury High School.
