Hall Student Charged After Threatening to Shoot Another Student

An Hall High School student was charged last week after threatening to shoot another student with whom he was having an argument.

Austin Kerr, 18, of West Hartford, threatened to shoot a female student on Dec. 22, police said. According to police, when a teacher tried to intervene, Kerr said that he would “mess up” anyone who tried to stop him.

Kerr was charged with first-degree and second-degree threatening, second-degree breach of peace, possession of less than a half ounce of marijuana, and risk of injury to a minor.

Kerr was released on $25,000 bond is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 22, 2016.
