Dear Editor,

I would like to express my support for Owen Eagan for probate judge in the Town of West Hartford.

I have known Owen both personally and professionally for more than 20 years and I know him to be a thoughtful man of great intelligence and sincerity.

Having sat before a probate judge on more than one occasion, I understand that these proceedings are often fraught with emotion and uncertainty, making the strongest selection of probate judge extremely important to everyone in our community. It is imperative that our probate judge is a good listener, knowledgeable in probate law, fair, and honest; Owen Eagan is all of those things.

It is likely that at some point we will all come before a probate judge – settling an estate, completing an adoption, changing a name – and each of us would benefit from having a judge such as Owen Eagan to ensure that these actions are adjudicated fairly and with integrity.

Please join me on August 9th to vote for the strongest candidate for this extremely important role, Owen Eagan.
