To the Editor:
Over the past month, many of you have seen friends and neighbors rallying at the West Hartford Town Hall, Veteran’s Park, and the State Capitol to protest actions undermining the rule of law and slashing services so many Americans depend upon. This Saturday, concerned citizens across the country will be gathering to make our voices heard and resist this erosion of core American values.
Various volunteer groups are sponsoring a “Hands Off! Connecticut Fights Back” rally at the Connecticut State Capitol from 3-6 p.m. For more information or to sign up to attend, visit: https://www.mobilize.us/
I plan to work on a two-sided sign – one side expressing my moral outrage and the other my hope for a return to values of compassion, justice, civility, and competence. I truly believe these are values that cross party lines.
Sincerely,
Elizabeth (Elly) Vozzola, Ph.D.
