To the Editor:

Over development, never ending increasing taxes, an educational system that according to the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), CT Dept. of Education, ranks West Hartford as obtaining 59% (Top 30%) in Math Proficiency, 68% (Top 30%) in Reading Proficiency, 66% (Top 30%) in Science Proficiency is the status of West Hartford today.

If you like living in a town that is losing its charm with denser development, paying exorbitant taxes, with a school system that is crashing headlong for mediocracy (schools impact property values) then please continue to vote for the status quo. However, if you want our town to strive for a brighter future with improved fiscal budgeting, realistic governance and accountable education performance, then vote for LOCAL REPUBLICAN representation on the Town Council and Board of Education!
