‘Matt and Jeni Are Unprepared’ returns to West Hartford’s Playhouse on Park.

“Matt & Jeni Are Unprepared” – the improv storytelling show featuring West Hartford teacher, bestselling author, and Moth GrandSLAM champion Matthew Dicks, alongside Moth StorySLAM winner Jeni Bonaldo, crafting brand-new, true stories about their lives based on audience prompts – returns to Playhouse on Park for its fourth installment.

The show will be held on Saturday, Nov. 8, at 8 p.m., and will be hosted, of course, by Elysha Dicks.

It’s absolute pressure.

No preparation.

No time to craft and refine.

Storytellers receive their prompt and tell the story immediately. As best as they can. In front of a live audience. 

And it’s a competition, too. After each round, the audience decides whose story is better.

Storyteller versus storyteller.

Storytelling on a tightrope.

No net or lifeline. 

Get your tickets soon. The last three installments have been sellouts, with additional seating added for some performances. It’s a night of live storytelling, hilarity, and even some heartbreak, that you won’t soon forget.
