‘Meet Your Beat Officer’ Begins Wednesday

The West Hartford Police Department is hosting the first ‘Meet Your Beat Officer’ event on Wednesday at A.C. Petersen Farms on Park Road.

As part of an enhanced community policing effort, the West Hartford Police Department is hosting a series of meetings with the public at various businesses around town. That program – “Meet Your Beat Officer” – begins this week.

On Wednesday, June 17, West Hartford Police Bicycle Officer Kevin Harrison will be at A.C. Petersen Farms, 240 Park Rd., from 9-10 a.m. to meet with and answer any questiont the public may have.

According to the West Hartford Police, Harrison, a 10 year veteran, is a field training officer and has been a member of the Community Interaction Team. He likes golfing and fishing. He was selected from a highly competitive group of volunteers as a bicycle officer.
